This is not directly a FreeWay question, but I’d like to hear thoughts from our forum. I’m working on a site with a large number of pdfs. These have not been optimized in the past, but I’m considering doing so now as I’m undergoing a large redesign of the entire site.
I can use Adobe Acrobat for this, but I just recently remembered that this can be done through the Preview App as well. The preview app is actually creating smaller files. (For example taking a 15mb pdf down to a 2mb file). I’ve played around with it a bit and I can’t see any degradation of image quality with either option.
What should I be considering (besides files size and time involved to optimize the files). Any thoughts on this?
