Hi I have a client request - a PDF needs to be opened in the same window as the website not open a new/tabbed window? Is this possible, if so any ideas how?

Frameset or iframe is one way. There’s a Flash-based widget available
from Adobe, but that then relies on Flash. I don’t know how iDevices
deal with traditional frames, I know they handle iframes quite
normally. But the iPhone won’t render a PDF inline, I don’t think. I
believe it will render it in iBooks or a PDF viewer application, in a
separate window, and quit or sleep Safari while it’s doing that. The
iPad may show it inline, I don’t think it forces that choice the way
that the iPhone needs to do, given its far more limited screen size.
