[Pro] Photo gallery problem.

I would sappreciate someone taking at look at this link for me

http://www.larkara.org.uk/photos.html

It is a simple photo gallery I built with the aid of the instructions in the manual which comes with FW5 Pro.

The issue is that whilst it works online, when I ‘preview in browser’ the 2nd picture (test2.jpg) which is 2nd from the top in the thumbnails, does not appear. All the others are fine.

I have checked all the parameters, comparing them all and can find nothing wrong. I would appreciate some help with this. Thanks.

Hi John,

Works fine with FF. Have you reloaded the page (clearing cache) on your browser, also you could try another ‘fresh’ previously unused browser. Try also to republish page and upload afresh.

Something strange is happening. I have added another thumbnail and target image to my gallery just to ensure that when the page goes ‘live’ I can do it without too many problems. Now, when in preview mode the last image (test6.jpg) does not show although when I ‘preview in browser’ It pops up and also when I’m online.

I think it’s got something to do with whether I have been working in table layout or css layout. I haven’t got a clue as to whether this is the issue or not, neither do I know the pros and cons of either option. I’ve read the Freeway Reference part that deals with this and it seems very complicated. Can someone help please?

John,

Not sure what might be happening, its certainly showing ok with number 6 along the bottom.

As your using pro why don’t you try using Showcase and the showcase action, really easy to implement and update, looks good as well.
Simple example here: http://www.silverytay.co.uk/one_page/index.html

Thanks again S. I think my problem may be to do with when I add a Target Image I didn’t ‘stack’ it along with the others using ‘Align’.

Another issue has arisen and that is to do with captions. If I apply an Image Caption Action to each of the targets, as I amend the caption on each one, all the captions change to the latest one.

I’ll certainly explore Showcase.

Thanks again.

Showcase worked a treat. It’s the way I’ll go in future. I’m all for the easy option.

Thanks S
