[Pro] PHP easyform on home page?

Got the form working, page looks beautiful in test… ummm, just occured to me that I want to make this the homepage and it has the php extension on it.

Can I make this work? I cant believe there is no way to have a form on your homepage.

That shouldn’t be a problem. Just change the filename to index.php,
and make sure that you don’t also have an index.html in the same
folder on the server. Depending on how your server is configured,
index.html might take precedence over index.php when the server does
its automatic search for an index page. So if you kept the old
index.html around, its very presence would mask the real index.php. If
you have only ever uploaded with Freeway, you shouldn’t have a
problem, because Freeway will delete the index.html file when it
uploads and synchs the local folder to your server folder.

We are wanting to do something similar that requires the home page to have the .php at the end, “index.php”

My question is, will the .php at the end of our index page hurt googles ability to index us or increase our ratings?

Thanks, TeamSDA_Dave

Google will treat it the same as any other page and as long as you have relevant content etc you will be fine.

Hi Dave,

Always cautious when it comes to SEO. As you know it would be self defeating if we did something to the way a page is laid out or the file name was wrongly formatted and kept a legitimate site from being found.

Thank you for your input,

TeamSDA_Dave
