[Pro] PHP feedback form issue with China IPs

We’ve been using PHP Feedback Form with excellent results until recently-- we’re getting slammed by these ip addresses:

192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2, 62.210.38.184, 195.154.184.126, 27.150.214.187, 120.33.196.203, 125.78.207.39, 222.77.193.247, 59.60.127.60 (all are from China)

with bogus email address such as: email@hidden

we’re adding new ip addresses to the “block” feature of the Action daily now.

All advice on how to better use the Action to prevent the spam in our forms appreciated.

Thanks TODD

Hi Todd,
Send me a copy of the latest -go.php file that the Action has created as well as a few of the spam emails you are getting. I’ll see what I can do to make the blocking process easier for you. I assume you have a need not to simply block the whole of China? If you don’t do business in the country then that would certainly do it for you but it is a very harsh thing to have to do.

Is the spam in English and does it contain any words or phrases that we could block or flag? I’ve a version of the script running on my server that flags any message that contains HTML as suspicious and marks the subject as being possibly spam. Most of the time (95% I’d guess) it guesses correctly and I can just delete the email or add the IP address to the block list.

I’ve bcc’d you so you should be able to see my email address.

Oh, you can get rid of the first two IP addresses in that block (the 192.168 ones) as these are internal IP addresses and don’t do anything other than demonstrate what an IP address looks like.
Regards,
Tim.
