[Pro] PHP Feedback form

Hi all, please help. I use Just host for my sites and they have recently updated and transfered all of their data. In doing so none of my PHP feedback forms are working. The technical guys there know there is an issue but seem unable to help. You can see what I mean on: seymourplace.orgon the contact page. HELP

First thing to do is create separate error pages for each error (Not in Domain, email error and server error).

Test and see what (if any) error page you get.

Also have a read of this thread http://freewaytalk.net/thread/view/111410

Might well be worth you uploading a text file as of my 10th June post in that thread.

Hi Jay,
I sent you a direct email last night about this and specifically a few questions about your server that you may not want to share publicly. If you can respond to that email, or contact me directly using one of the links below, then I’ll try and see what JustHost may have done to stop this form from working.

I did notice from the following page on their site that the server expects the sender’s email address to be defined in cPanel;
https://my.justhost.com/cgi/help/206

If this is the case you’ll need to make sure that you are using an email address that you’ve defined for the domain (email@hidden for example - FreewayTalk will hide that email if viewed online btw - contact [at] seymourplace [dot] org ) and set the PHP Feedback Form to use this address;

  1. Make sure that the name of the email address field in your form is NOT email. Maybe call it email_address. This will make sure that the Action uses the email defined in the next step.
  2. In the Action set ‘Use’ in the ‘Missing email address options’ section to ‘A specific e-mail address’ and enter the email address in the ‘From address’ field. Remember that this should be an email address that has been defined in the cPanel.

If you’ve had this form working and it now isn’t then i doubt that this is the issue but it is worth trying. Every host has their own way of working with form to mail processing which is what makes supporting this Action so varied and interesting. :slight_smile:

Regards,
Tim.
