When importing images (mainly JPGs although some as PSDs) into a graphic box, some import fine, although may have to be reduced, but some import as lo-res and only populate part of the box. Have also had similar issues with CSS slideshow images. Any ideas will be appreciated?

When you import there are options such as: Pass Through and Ignore Resolution (Down in the bottom left corner of the dialogue box)
Choosing Pass-Through will use the image at the resolution it was created. Selecting Ignore Resolution means that FW will import a graphic pixel for pixel (without scaling it in accordance with its resolution)
You may then have to double click the imported graphic and choose Resample to get it to display correctly.
Thanks David. But I found that by reducing the image size, it all worked properly so if it is that the images are far too large, possibly up to A4/3 at 300 dpi, wouldn’t choosing ‘Pass-through’ present the same problem?
And a 300ppi image will appear in Freeway (and on the Web in general) at whatever dimensions (in inches) it would be if it was 72ppi. A pixel is a pixel, in other words. It’s the indivisible atomic unit of computer displays, no matter what the physical resolution of the display.

The image container of a pass-through has to be large enough to accommodate it.
I probably should have said
Choosing Pass-Through will use the image at the resolution/size it was created at.
