Hi,
For a news-update, how would one do a pop-up window with a close button?
So its a “page” pop-up which is already there on load of the index page.
Any ideas?

Well, I can’t quite get it work still,
First, do you use the action:
Target/Show Hide Layer
or
Target/Show Hide Picture (and I do have a picture)?
Secondly, the picture with the rollover doesn’t have to be inline or does it? Can it also be a graphic item?
3.) The Results:
My target picture appears briefly and then vanishes with a trembling, (yes it’s scary!)

Yes I downloded it, and thought I’d used the same settings in the Actions-palette as in your demo,
Captions & Rollover for the “start-image” which is not inline, if that matters,
And TAarget Show/ Hide (Layer or Image - if that matters?) for the big picture.
But I can’t figure out,
what the mistake is.

I could even reproduce another, second item → Target Show / Hide Picture, on the file which you are offering (see above: targetsh-with-cl.html)
however
not on my main site.
On this one I’m counting about 30(!) actions, so there definitely has to be a conflict. And this will be difficult to diagnose!
For the time being I had to use the decent old hyperlink method.
