[Pro] Problem in upload

I have been trying to upload some testing pages in FTP but the system keep saying " cannot complete upload because a file or a folder cannot be accessed". I have only 5 pages to upload and I have check the Resources and nothing is missing. I have also update them all. I really cannot figure out why? Can someone help me in this ?

Thank you so much

The file or folder that cannot be accessed may be on your server - not on your Mac.

In the File>Document Setup>Upload settings what have you chosen as the FTP Mode?

It may be worth trying with a different choice here ie if Auto change to Passive etc.

Are you getting a 550 error number? If so, check this KB article:

If that’s not the problem you might need to make sure the permissions are set correctly on your server with an FTP application. They should be set to 644 (you can usually set this by using the Get Info option on each file in your FTP application).

Hope this helps,

Joe

Thank you, guys.

I did get the error number 550. I was using a yahoo account and it seems there was some problem. I just tried FatCow and it works just like that. I guess FatCow works rather well with Freeway. I went to FatCow control manaul and all the files are there. Yet, I have not seen my website loaded yet. Does it take a while to load?

No.

Have you uploaded the files to the correct (publicly accessible) place?

Not sure with FatCow but with others it is usually a folder called ‘www’ or ‘public_html’ or ‘html_docs’ or something similar.

This from FatCow

‘the actual directory name could be root, or public_html, or htdocs’

Yep, to find out, log in using an FTP application, like the free CyberDuck, http://cyberduck.ch.
