[Pro] Problem with Exhibeo Import Action

Hi

I’m trying to insert two Exhibeo Slideshows in a BackDraft 2 designed site.

I followed the instructions in the BackDraft docs for ‘slideshow’ after downloading v1.1.3 of Exhibeo and the Freeway Action for Exhibeo.

I inserted one slide show yesterday and all worked well. Looked good. This morning I went to insert the second slideshow and started getting - Exhibeo Import: el has no properties. Now neither of the slideshows work. Also when I go to publish I get - ‘ACTION HAS Javascript ERROR. The following Actions will be ignnored as they have a known JaveScript Error’. - Action: “Exhibeo Import”, Page: “About Pal4Paws” - Action: “Exhibeo Import”, Page: “Dog Walking”

Any ideas??

Regards

Lee

Getting the same error. Using Freeway Pro 7.0.4 and Exbibeo 2. Had to go to Exhibeo with 7, was using Showcase—slideshows not working with upgrade from Freeway 6. Tried importing Exhibeo slideshow with and without captions. Tried to remove any odd characters. I get the message error “Action: Exhibeo Import insertionPoint has no properties” and then the message Could not complete the ‘Publish Site’ command because of a JavaScript error occurred in a Freeway Action. If you republish site the Action will be ignored."

Hi April

Below is a email I got from Keith Rigley - Softpress - after a bit of playing around with it, I did get it to work.

'To do this in your layout, select and remove the current Exhibeo Import item. After that, click inside the item called “one” and move the flashing text cursor to a point immediately before the Pal4Paws heading and type backspace/delete once to remove the added Return.

Now click on the pasteboard (to deselect everything), select the item called “one” (by clicking it once) then hit the Left Arrow key once on your keyboard (to move the selection to a point immediately before the “one” item) and go to Insert>Action item and choose Exhibeo Import.

After that follow the steps that Caleb gives in the rest of the Focus and Impress theme instructions, but use the Extended code specifically given for the theme you’re using (which I presume is “Slide”).’

Hope it helped.

Regards

Lee

Hi April,

Sorry to hear you’re having problems. Could you send your files (Freeway and Exhibeo export file) to support(a)softpress.com please?

Many thanks,
Joe

Hi Nik,

April’s problem was caused by carriage returns being used in her captions. Removing them (in Exhibeo) should solve your problem.

Cheers,
Joe

Experiencing the same issues using exhibeo in Freeway Pro in the backdraft templates… simply can’t get any exhibeo files to function due to the same java script errors described in this thread

Hi nik and Doug,

Sorry that solution hasn’t worked for either of you. Could you send your Freeway and Exhibeo files to email@hidden please? They should hopefully be able to pin down exactly what is causing your problems.

Thanks very much!

I have noticed that after making changes to an html box that contains a javascript action I must wait a few seconds before previewing or I get a javascript error. I do not know if this is related but it is reproducible on demand. I also have noticed that unless I allow the googlemap action a few seconds to display fully within Freeway ANY changes I make in the inspector will foul, either not changing or simply appending my previous values. Same thing occasionally with not allowing enough time for an Exhibeo import to display.

I’m getting an error when I publish too:

Javascript Error: Exhibeo Import. el has no properties.

Running Freeway Pro 7, Exhibeo 1.1.3, Java 8 Update 65

Just bought Exhibeo to upgrade my Showcase galleries. Want to place them inline on a responsive site.

Hi
I’ve got the same problem as everyone else in this thread and it’s not clear what the solution is.
Please can someone help urgently as I can’t update my site without this, and been struggling for about a week trying to work out if I’d done something wrong.
I’m assuming the action to export to Freeway needs to be updated, but I can’t find any links to get to it or how to update.
Please can someone help?

I am not an Exhibeo user but I do know that you do not NEED an action to use Exhibeo in Freeway.

You can follow the tutorials and use the same methods that are outlined for other Web Design Apps.

Sorry that there is not an obvious place to Download the latest version of the Exhibeo action - mine like yours is from October 2013

I’m still looking for how to do it without the action but can’t find anything that I understand yet.
I just hope this gets fixed soon, otherwise I’ll be leaving for another solution, I need to be out taking photos, rather than finding a workaround for something that worked fine in 1.1.2. I’d rather revert until the issue is fixed but it’s no longer an option from what I can see.

Found a tutorial but it looks complicated, it’s for an iWeb page. I don’t know what code to put where on in Freeway.

Anyone got a link to a tutorial or video for how to import an Exhibeo slideshow as HTML for Freeway sites?

Desperately needing to get this sorted… and wishing I’d never updated!
