[Pro] Problems creating a 'Sign Up For Newsletter' form...

Hi guys

I am having some trouble creating a small form, which consists of one row and two columns, one of which has the text area and the other has the submit button.

Here is an example of what I am creating in Freeway:

And here’s how it looks when previewed in Safari:

Why is it doing this? I want the two columns to be next to each other exactly like in the Freeway image.

It is currently set at 1 Row, 2 Columns, 0 Border, 5px Cell Spacing and 0 Cell Padding and I haven’t added anything else to it.

Can someone tell me if there’s anything I can do?

Thank you.

Steve.

You can probably align the contents of the 2 table cells first aligned right and 2nd aligned left

Treat the contents as if the were text and select all, then align accordingly.

Hi David

Forgive me, but when I select either of the cells, there is no option for aligning them. I select the text field on the left and I can’t find the ability to align it anywhere.

Am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks for your help.

Steve.

Double click inside the cell (you may have to make the cell larger first) That is what I meant when I said “Treat the contents as if the were text and select all”

OK - I posted a reply but it hasn’t appeared so apologies if it duplicates.

Double click inside the cell to select the contents. Once you have a flashing cursor in there you can Edit>Select All (That is what I meant when I said “Treat the contents as if the were text and select all, then align accordingly.”)

You may have to expand the cell to get your cursor in there.

Hi David

Thanks again for your reply. I’ve managed it now, I just had to make the box a bit larger to enable me to select all in it.

Thanks once again…it seems such a simple solution, but it’s one I probably wouldn’t have thought of in a thousand tries.

Cheers.

Steve.
