I installed the full version of Freeway 5.2 Pro today and have registered it. Also downloaded the Gallery Action separately. I was using a trial version till today.
I’m using Tiger Mac OS X 4.11 on a G4 iBook.
I’ve changed preferences so it’ll enable Applescript, and I dragged the Gallery Action to the icon in Finder.
I’ve checked Library>Application Support and I can see the Gallery Action sitting there. I added the Themes folder to the same location.
However I have opened up freeway and cannot find it anywhere! Actions pallettes doesn’t show Gallery Action as an option. Also can’t see it when I click on the Actions button, nor is it available in Insert>Action Item.
There were no instructions with the folder for the action and the themes, I’m working with the book that came with the box for Freeway Pro.
Can anyone help? I really need to sort out photos asap for the website and was really hoping it was going to be easy!
Well I have now managed to work out that you have to select the entire table before you can see the gallery action is available.
Tried to install the themes and they seem to be nowhwere where they should be…
Clearly following the instructions of put the folder with the action isn’t quite the whole story… I wish there had been clear screen shot instructions for installing the actions in Freeway 5, I think this would have helped.
Hi Paul,
Thanks so much for replying. I decided to delete the mess I’d managed to make the first time and after upgrading to the latest version of Freeway 5 I then followed your instructions and installed the Themes via the menu screen within Actions after installing the Gallery Action. It’s fine now and I can see already that I can see images and all the themes except for the film strip ones seem to work well.
I now have to work out the ‘slave’ linking (or target) but have now got your manual from your Actions website so hopefully will get there eventually.
Thanks again,
Heather
