[Pro] Problems with CSS Menus after Upgrading to Freeway 5.5

Hi,

I just upgraded my Mac and also upgraded to Freeway 5.5. Now, I can’t customize CSS Menus. I’ve never had a problem with it in the past, but I can’t changed the color of the text and changes I make to the master show they are being made throughout, but the other sites don’t seem to update. Even when you go into the individual setting for the CSS menu on each page, they match the master, but the output is before the change was made. I tried refreshing…no luck. Please help.

Here is a link to the site I am working on. The font in the toolbar should change to white when you scroll over it. Any ideas would be helpful.

First thing I would try is hold down the Control key and do a File>Publish Everything before doing a fresh upload.

Didn’t work. The hover and current page background is working as it should now. But the font is still not changing colors when hovered over or as the current page as I have selected. Any ideas? I set them up as links using the bottom quick select.

Did you apply any styling at all to the link text within the CSS Menus
box on the screen? When you create this list of links, you must keep
the text entirely plain, even if you don’t like the way that looks.
You apply the style (if any is needed) using the Action palette or the
Link Style segment of the Inspector.

You have style6 applied to the CSS menu items (black text) - remove that and you should be sorted.

Just a little aside

The bethresume.png is HUGE at nearly 1Mb and makes that a slow page to load.

Compared to bethreel2.jpeg at 65Kb

Thanks so much. I had always done it like that before. I didn’t realize you couldn’t change the color in the inspector window. Much appreciated!!!

DeltaDave,

Thanks for the heads up about the bethresume.png It wasn’t supposed to be a png…not sure how that happened. I learn new things everyday.

You can, it’s just that it overrides the color used in the Action (and you lose the nice hover and click effects).
