[Pro] Problems with PHP Feedback Form

I’m using Freeway Pro 5.5.1 on a Mac Pro running Mac OSX 10.5.8. On a recently designed site: www.windconcepts.net I’ve installed a contact form on the Contact Page and use the action php feedback form to allow the form to be emailed back to the client. The problem is that, using a particular POP email address, the form email will work a couple of times and the stop working completely - for no apparent reason. We’ve checked the host service and everything is fine, put other email addresses on - they seem to work OK. The primary email on there works fine away from the form. Is it possible to have an unreliable form php action? If so is there a php form action out there that is completely reliable. I’m quite happy to pay for one if there is, this one’s driving us crazy. Any clues?

Hi Michael,
Assuming the email addresses that you are using are all from the same
domain and they don’t have any special filtering on them at the server
level then, as you would expect, they should all just work. The fact
that you are getting the messages sometimes and not others suggests to
me that there is a routing issue with the mail rather than the PHP the
action creates handing the email off to the server to send.
If you don’t have time to firefight the issue with your web host I
would suggest you look at either the EasiForm actions (http://easibase.com/easiForm/index.php
) or Forms2Go (http://www.bebosoft.com/products/formstogo/overview/).
Regards,
Tim.

Hi Tim, the email addresses actually aren’t from the same domain but the windconcepts email address (which the client wants to use) has been “fixed” by the web host a couple of times and is reliably working except on the form.
Thanks for the alternative form mail suggestions Tim,
Is the easiform more reliable? I don’t care too much about complexity or cost but I must get this form email working reliably.

Hi Michael,
I’ve no direct experience with the EasiForm actions but a lot of
Freeway users have and from their responses on this forum they appear
to be happy with them.
Regards,
Tim.

Thanks for your responses Tim, it seems adding the correct email also to the reroute mail tab in the php feedback form seems to produce reliable results I’ve been looking for, so for the moment I’ll stick to it.
