[Pro] Problems worth Simple Viewer

I have generated a Simple Viewer slideshow with the folder as ‘test’. This I have dropped on my desktop.

I have dropped the .swf file in a FLV player window on my page and uploaded the page.

Remotely, I have test/Resources and this is where the swf file is.

I have copied over the XML, thumbs and images files, but keep getting ‘Gallery XML Not Found’

Any ideas?

Can you post a link to your online page - this will help us find your problem.

Where have you copied these to? Have you just put them in the Resources folder or have you uploaded them to your website via FTP.

FW will not upload files just because you have put them in the Resources folder - it needs to have created them or be managing them for that to happen.

No, I’ve FTP’d them with Transmit, so they are on the server.

A link to the page then.

And where on the server have you uploaded them to?

Remember that simple Viewer is looking for these files in a particular place relative to the SWF.

OK - having had a quick look at SV to avoid the sort of issues that you have I think that you would be far better to use the SV provided embed code in your FW page.

Copy the embed code from SV then in FW Insert>Markup Item and paste the code. OK the dialogue and this will give you a 100px square box on your FW page, resize that and position it to suit your layout.

Next FTP the contents of the SV created folder (excluding the index.html file) to your server at the same level as the page as the SV slideshow appears on. These files/folders should be gallery.xml, images, svcore and thumbs.

And that should be it.

And that is exactly what I did for this page http://www.deltadesign.co/sv/
