[Pro] Publish vs Save?

What’s the difference between publish and save?

Someone more technical than I will have a better explanation probably.
But save is just that, it saves your creative stuff/layout. Publish
writes the code to prepare for upload or preview in a browser. To see
any changes you’ve saved, you have to republish for preview. Hope that
helps.

Publish makes the stuff inside your Site Folder and save makes the tomb file contains your site.

So if you simply hit Upload without Publishing first, what happens?

Freeway will automatically publish anything that hasn’t been published before uploading.

You got a lot of replies.
Just want to add this.
As FW is much near a DTP package, you don’t code right away when you design (that’s the word) your site, unless you add some code directly in some sections.
Thus it’s up to FW to generate the HTML code for you. This is done by the Publish menu option.
