I want to have some of my pages put into subfolders on my site so that people can just type without the .html.
For example, www.igm.com/insane with an index.html file inside, rather than people having to type in www.igm.com/insane.html.
Obviously, I could do it manually and change the Hyperlink references in Freeway Pro, but is there a better way so that I don’t have to move and rename the page each time I change it?
Thanks.
When you create a new page in any subfolder you have in your FW doc - if it is the first page created then it automagically will get the file name index.html
Obviously if you drag a page in from elsewhere it retains its original file name unless it shares the same file name as another page which is already in there. The file name will be amended if that is the case ie indexa.html
Now of course for this to work relies on your server being set up this way - most are.
Thanks David.
I’m obviously not explaining myself very well here.
The problem is, that I can’t see how to create a subfolder in my FWP doc.
I can see how to create a folder, but that just goes as a new entry, not a subfolder of ‘Site Folder’, the main site.
