Hi
I like the look of the Bloxx Gallery when it is opened, but I don’t like that the first thing the viewer sees is a single image. Is there anyway to have it set so that rather than seeing a single image the viewer sees the open gallery right away?

All I can say is good luck.
I have had Exhibeo for 6 months now. They have done nothing to address the
suggestions of users.
Whenever you would ask them they would tell you they were working on
another project.
Well, that project was coming out with Freeway 6 at a $69 upgrade price. I
tried the demo version and the contact form does not work as advertised.
They have fooled me twice now. No more.
I think Freeway 5.5 and Showcase work just fine. Exhibeo was never ready
for prime time. They talk and talk but nothing happens.

Hi Jerry. I am sure that all people at softpress do their best. I wish too some extended features in Exhibeo since the first moment, but I am 100% sure, that we will see them, when the time comes. And Joe said so in my wishlist post.
I am sure that nobody liked to fool you consciously. I can see their heavy efforts in Exhibeo and FW6 and one can imagine that these are huge tasks.
I understand your disappointment. But from over 7 years working with FW Pro professionally, being in contact with the support again and again, following a very friendly FW community, I can say that this is great and supportive work they do. The same is true for the development in FW over the years. Nobody (and no project) is perfect. We are all human. But more important, we should not forget - and this is not a tendency that I always agree to - that webdesign / browsertechnology is one of rapidly developing fields nowadays.
