I have my images saved on a network hard drive. Every time I publish my Freeway web site I get the message that the resources cannot be found and so lower quality published.
Is there a way around this or do I either have to live with it or transfer all the images over to my computer hard drive?
I’m wondering about this as well. I thought images which are placed in a web page were uploaded to the server and placed within the resources folder - I do not understand why moving them, subsequently, to a new location on the home computer should be an issue?
Edit - resources show the files as missing. I have previously gone through several pages of the web site importing the images again. However, they now all show as ‘Missing’.
You shouldn’t have needed to reimport the ‘missing’ images.
The correct process is to select a ‘missing’ image and then use the Edit button (bottom right). Then in the subsequent window that opens there is a ‘Locate’ button.
Click on Locate and then use the finder to navigate to the ‘missing’ image.
Once you have found 1 then FW should be able to ‘find’ any others in the same location.
However because you are using a Network drive the rules may not be as clear as FW compares date stamps (of the images) in its ‘memory’ to see if the image is the same and if it all doesn’t match you can have issues.
Is there any reason why you cannot clone/sync the image folder on the server with one on your Mac?
