[Pro] RESOURCES CANNOT BE FOUND

Hi guys,

When I go to publish my site I get a msg saying the following RESOURCES CANNOT BE FOUND and will not be published:

prototype1602packer.js

scriptaculous181packer.js

How can I get FW to look at these again? On that very same window, there is an ‘edit resources’ button.

I have clicked that and located the 2 above files in Library/ApplicationSupport/Freeway5/Actions/General/Protaculous.fwactionb

I just can get this to work and find these two actions, even though they are there!!!???

Do you have any of the “Scripty” Actions applied to your page? Any of
the Softpress FX Actions, or anything where you can specify an effect,
as in the Show / Hide Target Layer or similar? You have a couple of
options here.

Go through the site and remove all of those Actions from your pages
and their elements, publish once, then add them back in.

Choose a new Site Folder for your document (in the Document Setup) and
then use the Resample All option in the Edit / Resources dialog to
build up the reference again, and finally publish to your new folder.

I suspect the first might work, but the second, although less trouble,
might not. It’s possible that you have an element somewhere on a page
with a “cached” version of one of the Scripty Actions applied to it.
Whenever you use an Action, Freeway stashes a copy of the Action
within the document. This is used as a last-ditch hedge against
someone else opening that document in Freeway without having the
Action installed in their copy of Freeway. For normal “single-file”
Actions, this works perfectly. For the more complex “bundle” Actions,
it fails in a subtle fashion. Anything in the Action file itself is
cached, but any support files like prototype.js or scriptaculous.js
are not cached. So the Action tries to run but fails.

Hi Walt, yes I do have some of the Scripty actions applied to my pages!

I will give the first method a shot, although more tedious the result is what I want!
