Hi, I was trying to create a scripty lightbox that links to a form, but I can’t seem to be able to submit the form… The form is a mailchimp subscribe form… Can I have some help?
Where does it fail? Do you not see the form, or do you see it but it won’t submit?

Try the ScriptyLightbox2 instead, if the form is in the same site as the lightbox, that’s the best one to use. If the form is not hosted from your site, then please post a link so I can look at it. It’s supposed to work exactly the same with SL and SL2 if the form is remote.

Hi Walter,
Thanks. Eh, the form is not hosted on my site. My site is lowinsky.com and the form is the black box at the bottom of the site. I’ve attached the code of the form here
#mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; }
/* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */
Thanks, I see what you’ve got here. I am at a loss for what I see going on there. The form appears to be set to open its response in a new window. (Test this by not entering a required field – the error message is shown in a new tab.) But I can’t see where that preference is being made. Is there a setting on the MailChimp form generator to that effect? I haven’t used it recently enough to remember.
Another thing I see happening in this page is that there are five or six big JavaScript errors in the Facebook script. You might want to try this form business all alone on a new otherwise-blank page and see if you can isolate the issue.
Finally, you might want to try ScriptyLightbox2, which is completely different than ScriptyLightbox, despite sharing most of a name.
