[Pro] Scripty Lightbox won't work with .flv

I downloaded it yesterday and thought I was in 7th heaven being hopelessly dyslexic and unable to make any sense of code.

I made a couple practice QT lightboxes and they work great in FF but really jerky in Safari. So I thought I’d try it with smaller flash clips. I followed the exact same procedure but nope, they just won’t play. They play directly in the flash reader. Does FW need some other plug-in or something, anyone know where I should look for the problem? (I’m new to web design).

.flv doesn’t work with Scripty Lightbox. You need a .swf. You can convert .mov into .swf with Vertical Moon’s Video2SWF.

It works fine.

Not sure why QT is jerky in Safari, it always works great for me.

Please take a look at the recent posts regarding this action, there are some known issues.

Aloha George,

I’m wondering if my file is too large, It’s HD at 1280X720, looks great in FF. That’s what prompted me to have the video saved as .flv, the author claims the action “will take anything you throw at it”, I guess I was too inexperienced to understand the parameters.

But thank you so much, I’ve spent all afternoon trying to load the flash plug-in 10 and debugger as FW keeps telling me I don’t have the plug-in, I thought it might be the problem. I’ll have the vid guy convert the files and see what happens and post the results (hopefully success).

Thanks for your time.
