[Pro] ScriptyFader and Scripty Lightbox incompatible?

Any reason why these two wont work together? As soon as I add the scripty Lightbox action to the scripty Fader box I get Java script errors… It says box has no properties?

Is there a way to use these two together?

Thanks

On second thought, explain how you plan to use these two in
combination. I don’t need a document to sort this out.

When ScriptyFader and ScriptyFader Option run, they remove each
element they are attached to from the page and save it as a separate
HTML fragment. If you apply a second Action to one of those elements,
and that Action runs after SF, the element won’t be there for that
second Action to affect. The error is completely accurate, if a little
terse.

Walter… each “html box” that I want to fade in using ScriptyFade, contains two graphics. I want to be able to use scripty lightbox to be able to expand each of these graphics.

I am going to start a new thread with a link and you can take a look at what I have so far.

the reason I am starting a new link is so that people can see what I am doing with ScriptyFade. : )

Hello All,

I too am getting the same "JavaScript Error, however I’m using the effect slightly different. I have a header image where I’m trying to use the scripty lightbox to open a .swf file.

So far I can get the file to open up, however when I go to add the light box, I get the (ScriptyLightbox has no properties) and an arrow in the code pointing to: "var links = box.fwFindAll(‘a’);

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for any and all advice.

ScriptyLightbox requires that you use a separate Action or the
Hyperlink dialog to create a link directly to the file you want to
display from your “thumbnail” element (your header in this case). I
recommend in the instructions that you use the Graphic Link to File
Action, since that will also upload your lightbox content for you
without any further hassle.

So on your banner, first apply Graphic Link to File, then choose the
file you want to display in that Action’s interface. Next, apply the
ScriptyLightbox Action to the same header graphic. In the SL
interface, enter the final dimensions of your Flash animation. That’s
about it.

If you’re still getting errors, make certain you have the very latest
version of ScriptyLightbox installed. Click on the header graphic so
its interface is showing, then note the version number (in the lower-
right corner of the Actions palette). Look on ActionsForge to see if
you’ve got the latest.
