If I click on the link “voir notre conditions de reservations” a Scripty Lightbox appears but In Firefox and Opera the accents are rendered as question marks or squares. OK in Safari. Same on a PC with IE6 and FireFox. But all OK in Safari.

If I click on “link” the same text is rendered with all accents present and correct! In all browsers. Even IE6.
If I remove the Scriptylightbox and just link to the page then no problem. Nor is there a problem throughout the remainder of the site with the French accents. What have I done to Scripty on this particular page which makes it forget French accents? I have tried no end of variants and what you see here is a duplicate of the English version link but with French text pasted in. So in theory everything is the same. Is there a way of asking Scripty to do what it does in one place the same in another? Or (most likely) have I put something in inadvertently with all my faffing around (or the design process as I prefer to call it :-))
