[Pro] Selecting Overlapped Objects

In InDesign if you have more than one object occupying a space, you can hold down the Command key and every time you click you’ll select a different object in that space.

Is there anything similar in Freeway? I tend to “loose” objects under things that no amount of clicking can highlight. I try the send backwards and send to back commands hoping eventually the lost object will be selectable, but I cannot get either command to do anything.

Right now if I loose something I have to tear up the layout to dig it out, which can be a lot of work.

Thanks.

Use the navigation list on the left hand side. If you create an item and give it a unique name then you can select it there - it shows everything in their layer order. It’s good housekeeping too.

Nathan, thanks for the response, but I have a terrible time quickly recognizing something out of a long list, especially one that is not alphabetical. I’m really hoping for a simpler, quicker option, but thanks for mentioning it!

Command-option-click on the stacked items, and you’ll cycle through them. Shift-command-option-click and you’ll select all of them one at a time (each click adds the next item down in the stack to your collection).
