I’m new to Freeway Pro. I have created a page using the CSS mode of PRO that has several layer stacks on it. One of these layer stacks is composed of tables and another is composed of text boxes. With the navigation list on the left-hand-side in the “Page” mode I can select an item in the middle of either of these layer stacks and the selection box appears around the selected item. I need to edit the contents of the selected item. So, for instance if I want to edit the contents of a cell in the third table in the stack, I select it from the list in the “Page” mode display and then double click on the cell I want to change. What actually happens is that the cell in the table at the top of the stack is actually selected and the edited contents ends up in that table regardless of which table I have selected in the “Page” mode display.
How do I edit the content of a text or table item in the middle of a layer stack?
Thx for your prompt response. Your method seems to work OK for HTML Text Items created when CSS is on and as a layer. However, not when the item is a Table Layer.
How do I select a Table Layer in the middle of a layer stack such that I can edit the contents of any cell in that table?
There is no other way than this one, and it’s okay, it’s not deconstructive.
In the site-palette, you will have to drag the table item to the bottom of the stacked items. The bottom one will end up on top of the stack. In the You can now directly select sells etc. you need to edit. As soon as you are ready editing, you just (site panel) drag the table item back in the original position within the stack, and you’re done.
