[Pro] Self-referencing canonical on the home page

I want to use https://www.mydomain.com as the canonical for my home page. But in my Freeway 7 Pro software I can only find https://www.mydomain.com.index.html. Google seems to be in favor of pointing to a canonical page from other identical page(s) and ALSO putting a self-referencing canonical on the desired canonical page.

How in Freeway can I put a self-referencing canonical on https://www.mydomain.com ? I can’t find that page in the Freeway software, but only https://www.mydomain.com.index.html.

You’ll have to create that URL as a manual reference to / (just that, just the single slash). You can do that in the External tab of the URL dialog. Once you do, it should appear in the picker for repeat usage.
