The text that pops up when I click send is, “Fatal error: Call to undefined function: filter_has_var() in e:websites1414plasticvilleusa.orgcontactFW_SendForm_index.php on line 123”
Is this a problem with my server? I’ve never seen this before.
Okay, I did some digging in my server’s antiquated control center and I was able to change the PHP Version from 4.x to 5.2.1.
After I did that, I no longer received the fatal error. Now I am getting an error message from my own website. But the contact form is still not working and I have no idea why.
Try the PHP Feedback Form instead and see if you get the same result but before you do set up a different Error page for each of the errors ie Not in Domain, Server Error or Invalid email
Whichever error page you are directed to will give an indication of where the problem lies.
I did. Unfortunatlely, they said 5.2.1 was the latest they could offer at this time. They said they might be up to 5.3 in a few months. Sigh… This is a non-profit website and I don’t think my client will be open to switching to a more robust hosting company.
Any other options for a contact form that will work with an inline layout and old as dirt PHP?
There are much greater concerns to consider than the simple inconvenience to your client. Decent hosting is dirt cheap. Even a non-profit can afford $5/mo (or less).
Also a Google Docs spreadsheet lets you build a form and embed it in a page with a Markup Item. This page explains how to do it for Wordpress, but Freeway will be the same way, just using a Markup Item in place of the HTML editor in the Wordpress admin site.

I would also have a look at http://www.wufoo.com/ - they have a Free option that may be sufficient for your needs.
Thank you Walter and David! I tried both options and chose wufoo. It’s not a perfect solution, but until my client can update to a better hosting company it will suffice for now. Thanks again!
