A client has recently moved their email server to a new provider. This has stopped the send form emails being received by them. The emails are being sent by the website as I’ve added my own address and others with complete success. They are not received by any of the email addresses belonging to the client.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the issue or could you direct me towards a similar thread? Is it the website or the email server?
It may be that the ‘new’ server will only accept emails if they are deemed to come from itself or it may be that they are being classed as spam by server software.
They moved the site and the emails but I do not have any specifics about the setup. Other than a spam setting i’m not sure what could be stopping them coming through.
I have suggested to the new provider that they check the spam situation but they cannot find any trace of the emails. My limited understanding of the situation is that if I can receive the emails then the website is working and that the hold up is with the email server. However, i’m more concerned with finding what the issue is rather than point a finger of blame.
As I suggested in my previous post the receiving email address may have to be specific to that site but without knowing more about the hosting provider I cannot be more specific.
