[Pro] Send Form / PHP Feedback Form

Hi.

I am currently working on a website in FW6.

The host is GoDaddy. I have already set up the correct settings/details on the account.

I have tried ‘send form’ and ‘PHP Feedback Form’ and as far as I am aware I have entered all the correct details to make it work but I am having no joy and pulling my hair out.

Can anyone help?

I am not seeing any Form tags on this page.

How/where have you applied the action?

Apart from moving to another hosting provider I dont have anything else at the mo.

David

If I amy put my 2 cents in here… Hi Dave!

Godaddy does not play well with others, especially the PHP script. I had such a problem with script and moved all my hosting to Fatcow and the action worked perfectly IMHO

Danny,
There appear to be several easiForm users on GoDaddy that seem to be using their php forms without issues.

You will need to make a change the ini file or add one for PHP 5, you will also need to add some lines of code pointing to the location of the ioncube decoder directory on your server account. This is outlined on the GoDaddy web site, if you want to give it a try then I will dig out the URL of the information on the GoDaddy web site. You will also need to upload the ioncube decoder/s needed for your version of PHP to a folder and name the folder ioncube, this will need to rest in the home directory of your hosting account.

You can set your form up, add easiForm actions, upload the ioncube loaders and change or add a PHP ini file for PHP 5 to your home directory and then test the forms, if they work then you will need to purchase a license for a small fee that will remove the demo alert, don’t make this purchase until you are sure you have everything working.

David, Hopefully a person with more knowledge will pitch in here. I will try. Your web page is supposed to be html. The php is a script file that sets on the web server and handles taking the info from your form and creating and sending an email. This script has your email address along with some other needed info. In FW with your contact page open you use the Form Setup… dialog to point the form to the scripts web address. I have sent you an email directly with some pics and a copy of a script I use. You will have to edit this with your info. There are many other scripts, this one is very basic. You may want one with more features. Someone else will have to jump in for that as it is beyond my skill.
