Hi all. If you’re adding a contact/feedback form to a site that is hosted on GoDaddy’s cPanel, DO NOT click the “This site is hosted on GoDaddy” option in the Send Form action. Leave it unchecked.
They still use their GDform.php, if that’s what you’re referring to, but toggling on the “…GoDaddy…” check box conflicts with cPanel. I found this out today while trying to figure out why I was getting error messages. The form showed up correctly on the site I was working on, but wouldn’t “send”. I don’t know if it needs to be checked for their older hosting platform.
Yes, the sea is changing, however slowly, at GoDaddy. The newest cPanel sites (what you get if you sign up today and specify you want a Linux server) are more or less normal. But it wouldn’t be GoDaddy without a few kinks here and there. And some upsell – lots and lots of upsell. And exploitation ads. “Hi! I’m Busty! And I’d like to host your site!”

Here is a link. My notes are in red. I’d be happy to answer any specific questions you may have…if I can.
I deplore Go Daddy for the same reasons you mention and others, but I’m stuck with them for awhile because they host my client’s site. I was (and still am) very upset when they bought my website’s host, Media Temple, whom I like very much, although I’ve thought of leaving them because they are now owned by GD.
I’m in the same position. I never would have guessed that GD would buy MT. Strange days.

If using goDaddy’s cpanel, do you need to use both the send form action and the php feedback form action? Can I get away with just one? What’s the difference?
