[Pro] sequence timer and trigger

I’m trying to get a fading slideshow working using the sequence timer and sequence click. Here’s what I did so far:

1: applied sequence timer page actions set to run “on trigger” + activating the triggers for each image

2: imported a series of images and applied target/show hide layer making the first image visible and the remainder hidden, all set to “restore” and sequentially numbering the images in the actions palette

3: created two sequence click buttons; one forward, one backward, sequentially numbering the images - hoping it would cycle through the images on click.

the chain name are identical, however, the buttons do not activate the slideshow

any thoughts?

Can you post a link to what you have online?

created two sequence click buttons; one forward, one backward,

Sequence timer only has a play/pause button - no forward/back.

making the first image visible and the remainder hidden, all set to “restore” and sequentially numbering the images in the actions palette

The way I normally do this is to have a base image that has no show/hide action on it and then layered over the top of that is my stack of images.

Each image has Hidden, Sticky, Fade and numbered

Are you working with layered images? Sure?

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. There is a “sequence click” action with forward and backwards options. I assumed I could use these to trigger the sequence timer one image at a time.

Here’s a link to a test page:

There is also a link to the fw file

OK - some confusion here

Sequence Timer and Sequence Click are 2 separate things.

Sequence Timer - for a timed slideshow requires Sequence Timer, Target Show/Hide and a Play/Pause button

Sequence Click - a progressive image at a time click through show requires Sequence Click (forward and back buttons) and Target Show/Hide.

Bumping this topic because I’m looking to do exactly what Anthony requested. I want a slideshow that has 3 buttons: Play/Pause, Forward, and Back.

AND I want a nice fading transition between each slide.

As far as I understand, Showcase will give me the buttons, but not the transitions; while Sequence timer will give me the fade, but only SOME of the buttons.

Is there a solution out there for me?

Ah yes, and I don’t need thumbnails.
