I have set up an account with Mals and have figured out how to create a discount code.
So do I still set up the shop within freeway using the wizard?
Does Freeway then sync with Mals to go to a checkout where the person can enter a discount code?
You create a new account (free or paid) over at Mals (http://www.mals-e.com) and make a note of the store ID and (optionally) the hash encoding key if you want to secure the items
Using the Actions add your products to the site inserting the product details, price, shipping tax etc as you go
Add the hash code (from step 2) if you want the Actions to encode the items so they can’t be spoofed in the HTML
Publish and upload your site
Your online store should now be up and running. You should spend some time looking at the options in the Mals admin area as it offers features for customising the looks and feel of the store, shipping and tax issues as well as a host of other tools.
The workflow for a user shopping at your site is just as simple;
They click on a product buy button
This is added to the Mals cart
They can choose to continue shopping or checkout
On checkout they offer their payment and shipping details as well as any coupon code they may have
Both the buyer and the store owner (you) receive an email with the order details allowing you to create and ship the item
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Tim.
