they work ok for a week or two, then become corrupt again.
In the meantime have you changed/uploaded the site? If not it may be a server issue.
Do each of your original images have unique names? FW does an excellent job of naming/renaming files so that they are unique but it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t help.
It sounds like these images are being incorrectly referenced and this may not be a FW problem at all! There may be strange things going on on your server.
Might be worth asking your Hosting provider to do some sort of server housekeeping.
I have changed/uploaded a couple of times this week, but it doesn’t happen every time I change/upload. I check my site after every upload, because I am getting paranoid about it.
My images are exported from Aperture to Sites/ Swanphotographics/Media/Folder(specific to gallery), and yes they have unique names.
I have noticed that the image names given by FW are very very similar eg gallery7, gallery7a, gallery7b, etc and also gallery7_thumb, gallery7_thumba, gallery7_thumbb etc. up to 171 images.
Is there too much similarity in the names, especially with so many images involved? How could I help FW with this naming strategy?
So, if there are no other suggestions, I will ask the Hosting Provider to have a look.
It sounds like this might just be a cache issue. Does it correct itself after refreshing? Also, can you post a link (or send it to me personally if you don’t want the link to be public) so I can monitor it and log a bug if necessary, please?
Thanks, you said that when you preview from Freeway, and when you first upload that everything is fine. How are you uploading the site? Using Freeway or an FTP application? Have you added things and re-uploaded them since it was working?

Hi Joe
I’ve emptied the Safari Cache and also refreshed the page many times - but still not working.
It looks like Freeway has renamed the second set of images to avoid naming conflicts as well as updated the HTML page but only the images have been uploaded. If you upload the HTML pages as well you should find the issue gets resolved.
Regards,
Tim.

• Use Freeway to upload, it will only upload the things that need to be uploaded to make your site work properly, or
• Upload the entire contents of your Site Folder (apart from _siteinfo) using an FTP application, or set your FTP application to synch with your server (this generally means it will only upload files that have changed).
Doing either of these will almost certainly fix your problem. I hope this helps,
Joe

Hi Joe and Tim
I use Transmit to upload, and tried the setting to ‘delete orphaned files on the server’, but that obviously didn’t work either.
OK, I’ll try uploading the specific pages one by one and see what happens.
