Hello I am still trying out freeway and I have no clue about html, css or whatever. I would like to know whether it is possible to put alt tags on images in a gallery created with showcase. I am an illustrator and want to put my name on each image so it shows up in google under my name. Can somebody help me, please?
The more instances of your name the more likely that Google will pick it up.
No - I dont know how else to add your name with Showcase.
You may be able to add a CSS class to each showcase image that adds your name as an Alt tag but I suspect that the real picture name/title (caption) will then not appear in your code.
Why dont you want your name in there? Is it not normal for artists to ‘sign’ their work.
Yeah, but the name is already on the website and I find it awkward to repeat your own name over and over again
So if I do this, you are positive that it will show up on images under google, right? I am just asking because I built my website with another drag and drop builder and nothing from the gallery shows up not even if you look for the exact caption term. I don’t want to buy freeway and then ending up with the same problem.
Thank you so much DeltaDave! I had a look and there it was! I also had a look at my running page and couldn’t find any alt tags. Probably a stupid question but is there a way to change the alt tags in the code without being visible to the viewer?

Not sure what you mean by your ‘running page’?

Are you specifically talking about the showcase images here? If so then I dont think so without redoing it every time you make any changes to your FW doc.
