[Pro] Simple e-Commerce Solution?

I have an existing client who would like to integrate an e-commerce system into a website I built a few months ago using FWP and Perch. We’ll only need to feature about 20 items.

Which e-commerce solution is the easiest to implement with FWP?

ECWID for me, takes nearly a minute to set up in FWP (if you allow 55 seconds to warm up)

Thanks for your response Simon. Is there an Action to integrate ECWID into FWP or do you simply link to ECWID and it takes over? Would you mind posting an example of how you used it with FWP?

Thanks!

To implement you just put in a snippet of markup code, I’ve just done this for a client but the shop is currently empty so it is a fairly unhelpful blank box. But if you put it in a blank document you can preview it locally (assuming you have an internet connection on)

This is a ecwid site without too much work
http://www.bnh-photography.com/store.php

But Thomas has dug a little deeper

Also he has some screen casts.

Thanks Richard. With all due respect, I like Thomas’s merchandise better. JK

It’s a challenge with those images, but I’ll try.

You can always use FoxyCart with Perch

I had a very, very short view on https://cashiecommerce.com/ these days and it looked promising. The implementing is a simple line of code.

Foxy looks also great, but it seemed a bit complicated and expensive to me whhen I gave it a first view (so I maybe have to give it a second).

ECWID sucks a lil’ bit since they set the free version down to 10 products and “designing” is a bit of a nightmare, cause you need to adjust (and walk through) tons of CSS classes in a real monolith.

Still doubts with all solutions here regarding the EU community laws of ecom that are probably much stricter than the US ones (not sure).

What do you think Marcel?

What about Perch’s PayPal app. Has anyone used that?

This looks good and it’s reasonably priced. Thomas, please let me know if you do any testing with Cashie and FWP. Thanks!

I did - but not in depth, and really super quick:

http://kimmich-dm.de/cashiecom/index.html

FW spoken, all you need to do is to create a couple of “page templates”, link to them in cashie and add the cashie code back in FW mark-up item:

Styling can be done in cashie in a special interface.

I like the thought of this “main-page independent” modules allowing the client to maintain their shop themselves.
