[Pro] Simple Site Search

Now this is a stroke of genius. Brilliant!

Just one question, having read the manual. Having applied SSS to the site folder, and got it all to work, if later I add pages in the site folder, will I need to re-apply SSS?

I’m occasionally on the ball!

The SSS produces it’s results when you publish, so you can add pages / change whenever you like.

A little glitch with SSS.

I uploaded the website to the server and all was well.

Having uploaded some updated pages, SSS now works in Preview in browser, but not on line!

Any ideas, please.

Did you upload the whole site using FW’s upload or just some changed pages?

There are associated files that need to be uploaded too.

Yep, that sounds like it Dave. A bit stoooopid this afternoon, my imac is throwing a wobbly and occupying my thoughts. Looks like a full re-install.

My thanks for you help. Will report back.

I think I’ve hunted out the problem. In preview in browser, I get a time-out on one of my bigger pages. Tells me if preview in browser again this action will be ignored. Reducing the content of this page won’t get past the buyer.

When I do that, everything works fine in browser preview, but again, upload to web and simple search doesn’t work.

For uploading, I tried FW Upload, and no matter which options I choose, it fails to connect to the server. Instead, I’ve uploaded the entire Resources folder in Fetch, and all the pages again.

This SSS is a fantastic action, I just need to get it to work.
