[Pro] Site File Corruption

I have a site file that has developed a single page that (according to FW) has no items on it. Other than this the page appears to be ok.

If I duplicate the page, FW is aware of all of the duplicate’s items.

I would normally just delete and recreate the page but since FW handles master pages so poorly in a box model layout, I would have to update menu links on every page I have already created, which is a substantial number of pages.

So I am wondering if there a way to repair this page/file?

Thanks,

Well, to work at this backwards, you could try this: copy the entire page (select its name in the site pane, Edit / Copy) and then create a new document and Paste. The page will be completely as it was in the old document, with the exception of the filename. Try publishing this site as a troubleshooting step. If it works, then try this: save the document, so you have a clean undo spot, then select the trouble page in the old document, and delete the page using the gear menu. You will get an alert saying that you are deleting a linked page, what do you want to do with the links – answer “replace with external links”. Try publishing now. If the document publishes, then try copying and pasting the “rescued” page from your temporary document back into the original document. Change the filename of the new page back to the filename of the original trouble page, and all your links will be healed.

Just to be completely clear, where I say:

save the document, so you have a clean undo spot,

I mean save the bad, old document.
