Hope somebody can help, we are struggling to generate a sitemap for google, we are novices and keep being told about our ‘public html’ folder but don’t know where this would be?
Regards
Steve
Your public_html folder is where all your web pages sit at the moment on your hosting server.

Thanks for that, do you know how, if we manage to get the sitemap generated (told you we are novice), do we get it to the public folder on our server, how is it uploaded?
If you have an FTP application (Fetch, Transmit), then you can enter in the same information that you used to upload your site (ftp, username, password etc.) and you can drag-and-drop the xml sitemap in with your other files.
Once you try it it will become clear - it’s pretty simple to do, you won’t have a problem.
