[Pro] Site Mapper action

I tried to use the Site Mapper action recently; I applied it to the site folder, and applied the Site Mapper Location action to the home page. Uploaded the site, then went to the Actions palette and clicked the ‘Submit Site Map’ button. The Web page I’d expected came up, with the list of places it was submitting to, with the progress bar underneath. It ran for ages and nothing seemed to be happening; no network traffic was going out or coming in according to iStat menus. I let it run for ten minutes or so, then got fed up and went to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com and let them make me one, which I uploaded with Cyberduck. All’s well with that, but I’d prefer to use the Freeway Site Mapper action if possible; should I have let it run longer, or is something bust?

Check my article how to correctly apply the action. If everything is done right it should immediately work. http://www.dtp2.nl/freeway-pro-site-mapper-action.html

Thanks for replying; unfortunately, what you suggest is exactly what I did; the web page progress bar with the green ticks on it never worked; the progress bar just showed the ‘progress’ animation but never finished.

That’s odd. But then there is even more reason to ask Softpress Support what can cause this since this is the way I did it successfully for a lot of websites.

Maybe it was a glitch; I’ll try it again and see what happens.
