[Pro] Site That Needs Constant Updating

We have our animal shelter site (which I’ve mentioned before) that needs constant updating of animals that are either coming in or going out.

We’ve been doing this manually within the design of the site. Is there an easier way of doing this? Pictures, descriptions and icons need to be done each time.

Thanks.

WebYep or another lightweight CMS comes to mind. You might want to
look into the Actions that Max has made, also Joe Muscara’s Actions
for TinyCMS. Both of those would allow you to design the page in
Freeway just once, then update a content area within the page as often
as you like.

You could also use an iframe and a separate Freeway document to hold
the updating content, then you could leave the outer shell of the page
untouched while updating the list of animals as often as you like.

The first option is more search engine friendly, the second is cheap
and cheerful (no licensing fees or Action costs). Either one will give
you what you want with a minimal learning curve.

I’ll look into those. Minimal learning curve is nice!

The other trick is, there will be multiple page. Say, 20 cat pages that any or all might need updating.

Definitely something for WebYep, not sure about TinyCMS, but you could
look at that as well. WY can make a menu of links to the dynamic pages
automatically which will update whenever you add a new page or delete
an old one.
