I’m trying to drag a showcase .fwgallery file into a freeway 6 pro page. I’ve already created a slideshow action, still can’t drag it in. I’m missing something obvious here. I’m trying out the demo version, could that be it?

You add a Showcase gallery to your page by adding an instance of the Showcase Action to your page. In the main window toolbar, click on the Action menu (has the cog-shaped f icon) and pull down to Showcase Gallery/Slideshow. Then use that tool to draw a rectangle where your gallery should appear on the page. Finally, use the Actions palette (while that drawn element is selected) to select your .fwgallery file and make all the configuration choices.
By the way, Softpress never intentionally hobbles any of their demo versions – they are always entirely the same as the paid versions, with a time bomb strapped to them. After the demo period runs out, they can no longer be used to open or edit or create new files, but the files they created are feature-compliete and identical to any other documents made by the paid version of the software. Once you pay and unlock them, you can carry on with the documents you created during the trial, and anyone else who had already paid could do the same.

Thanks that works fine. I’m hoping to use a gallery as the main page for my site because I have four languages. What’s the best way to get a short description under the photos? The showcase version only provides for a rollover as far as I can see, so I guess I’ll have to use a table.
