[Pro] static header

if i want to create a header, to contain my menu, logo and site search that always remains in a browser window but the content scrolls and is hidden underneath my header - whats the best way to do this?

I have tried experimenting with containers but can’t seem to get the desired effect.

thanks

With your layered item(s) selected look in the HTML inspector, first Tab

Under the Title box there is a selector (defaulted to Absolute) change it to ‘Fixed in Window’ to set an items position in relation to the top of the browser window.

Doesn’t work with Mobile Safari!

…and will probably be a problem in Internet Explorer. However it appears to be somewhat fixed in IE7 and has progressively got better in IE8, 9. Anything else below IE7 is out from working with this.

Might be worth looking at this: Sticker - ActionsForge

I downloaded the action and I am getting the desired effect with this applied, except my content is passing above the sticker item. how do I make it go underneath?

Click on the Sticker element and choose Bring to Front from the Item
menu. Preview/Publish again to see the result.
