[Pro] styles to tables

Hello -

I am using an HTML table to layout this (see right column, second section)

http://www.easthalldesign.com/tm2/hrenrichmentsupp.html

I would really like to add a horizontal line in between each entry, so to make it a bit more readable - can I add this?

Thanks

Hi Justin,
You can do this either by adding extra table rows to the table and styling them to suit or to add a simple CSS style that will do this for you.
For example;
http://www.freewayactions.com/test/table-borders/

Here I’ve added an ID to the table (Item > Extended > New > Name = id, Value = mytable) and the following style to the Edit > Styles dialog;
Tag: #mytable td
Extended: (enter the name:value pairs below)
border-bottom:1px solid #A5A701
padding:10px 0

The padding is just there to give the horizontal lines a bit of space around them.

Actually an even easier way is to select the table row you want the line to appear under and in the Inspector palette Table Cell Settings tab and the Extended button. In the resulting dialog click New and;
name: style
value: border-bottom:1px solid #A5A701;padding:10px 0

Regards,
Tim.

I like the sound of the final option but not getting it to work so far? - I understand all apart from

‘In the resulting dialog click New and; name: style value: border-bottom:1px solid #A5A701;padding:10px 0’

What do a place in area NAME and area VALUE

I just added in NAME ‘style value: border-bottom:’ then tried just ‘border-bottom’… I know its just a case of knwong what bit goes where but…

Does anyone know if this thing with the style of table CANNOT be seen in preview?

I have tried to duplicate the simple directions but when I hit PREVIEW I do not see any lines at all. Just my text in my table.

I have not tried to upload it yet.

THought I could preview it first?

Tables are made of many elements - what is it you are trying to style
specifically?
