I’m looking for a stylus to use with my iPad. I need this specifically for taking notes AND drawing. Most of the styluses I’ve seen have a foam cue tip point. I want to get something more precise. Does anyone have a recommendation?
It looks like the Wacom Bamboo is one of the best rated, bud sadly they don’t mention the specific model number. It looks like the CS100K, but I’m not 100% sure.
My favourite out of that pick has to be the Adonit one - and the think I like about it the most is the lack of a blob of black rubber/foam on the end. The little plastic disc lets you see where the point of the pen actually is on the screen. Big black blobs are fine if you are doing board marker-like strokes, but if you want any kind of precision, you either have to zoom right in, or hope you’ve landed the tip in the right place.
I’ve actually got a Jot Touch 4 - which brings pressure sensitivity to the mix - and I find it really nice to use. It feels less like drawing on glass with a biro than the Jot Pro in the review.
Personally, I’d much prefer a stylus which is pressure sensitive and doesn’t have a funny disc on the tip, but for now, that seems to be how it’s going to be.
I bought the Cosmonaut during its KickStarter run, and it’s been nice. But it’s more of a builder’s crayon rather than a fine and precise pen. I like it because my primary drawing tool is a bullet-tip DesignArt marker. I bought a case of those when they were discontinued for health and safety reasons. Nothing else draws as black a line, or lasts as long (with the cap on). I’ll probably grow another arm eventually, but hey.

Wow! That’s one expensive stylus. With my luck, I would probably lose that thing in a week.
