Is anyone using a Synology NAS as a web development server? I’m currently using MAMP PRO and an external HD, but I’m seriously considering using a NAS instead, especially if I can configure it to allow client access.

A few months ago I was looking at their DS 213 and DS213+ models primarily for network storage, though the dev server aspect did pique my curiosity. Synology seems to put out consistently solid and well-received products, though they are often more expensive than the competition. I was ready to buy one then life happened and it was put on the back-burner for the time being.

Just got my DS1512+. Figured what the heck. It’s only money. LOL I’ll let everyone know how it works out.
