[Pro] Tabs area problem - 'ContentTags has no properties'

I had a page with tabs area working well and was very pleased with myself for a newbie.

Now I get a java script error “Content Tags has no property”

possible causes (or how I stuffed up)
-I went from trial to paid version of Pro ( hope that didn’t cause a problem!)

  • tried to add some extra actions
The “extra resource” action appeared as a text file, so I changed the default application for those files from applescript editor to freeway Pro. I have since changed it back then back to Freeway.

Attempted remedies

  • re install the action then retried after deleting original action in the library folder
  • deleting and recreating the Tabs area

I am still left with my previous tabs all visible one on top of the other and not responding to the tab buttons as previous. There is a reasonable amount of content so I would rather not start again.

I appreciate any advice.

Just guessing, but I know it gets slow here this time of day, but the best way to install most actions is to drag it directly over the freeway icon (in your dock). Once I started doing that I stopped having the install problems.

Some actions are multi part, example files and resource folders. But within those folders usually is contain a or a few actions, pick the one for your freeway version.

Hope that helps

Barely beyond newbie,

Frank H.

Don’t panic!

I have discovered the answer - which I will post for others’ future reference.

I had unticked “publish” on one of the tabs - it must have happened inadvertently when I moved the inspector window. Specifically, on the inspector window for the HTML item which I had designated as one of the tabs areas, I had unticked the box marked ‘publish’

I had checked the specifications of the tabs as the dimensions had been changed, but had not noticed the “publish” button had been unticked.

I was distracted by the above changes and that the edit actions window also showed an error.

Also the prompt to resolve the error opened the action window of the tab area - which did not contain the error.

Regards

Scott

Thanks Frank

That is how I did the reinstall - I will always do that in future.

However the answer lay elsewhere as explained above.
