[Pro] Target Show/Hide Layer-Google ranking

Hi everyone,

Hopefully this is easy to answer.

On the home of the website I’ve built I’ve used target show/hide layers to create a nice transitions between images.

Can anyone tell me if the words will show up on a google ‘bots’ search. i.e. in terms of SEO.

I’m not sure if the layers are stopping Google seeing the words and is therefore ignoring them.

And one other (maybe stupid) question: does having .html at the end of every link effect google ranking. I notice some websites don’t have this file extension but my Freeway site does.

Yes - but they would carry more ‘weight’ if they were styled with an h Tag. h2 or h3

You should also have an h1 Tag on the most important text on your page.

There are many articles about SEO - you should read up on the subject if you want Google to like your site
