[Pro] Tell a Friend

Joe,

A while ago you mentioned you had written an action for Pro for ‘Tell a Friend’ which lets you place a button on the page allowing the user to email a friend with the url of that page.

Does it still exist somewhere?

Actually, I just realised the the ‘addthis’ action is what I require. Just one question though, the email button doesn’t actually send any emails. It is live on the website and the facebook and blogger buttons are working. Do I need an account for the email?

Hi Mike,
I just tried this with the AddThis action, clicked on the email link, filled in the recipient’s email address (one of mine), my email address and the message and then hit send. The email took a couple of minutes but just came into my mail client as expected.
The feature uses a hosted form on the AddThis web site so should work for both online and offline pages and regardless of available server technologies.

Dunno! The emails I’ve tried aren’t coming through from that site for some reason. Try asking on the AddThis support forum;
