I have white type over a simple rollover but my type looks really raggedy and shows a shadow fringe the color of the state below when I roll over. I have 11 px verdana bld speced white, tried html and gif but looks terrible both ways…any suggestions?

An online example always helps but I suspect that your issue is to do with tha anti-alias settings on your text.
If the AA is set as the default the FW does its best to choose the correct colour to AA against but if you are on top of a background that changes you may have to choose the colour to AA against manually.
Usually a mid point between the 2 colours you are transitioning over does the trick but you may need to play about a bit.

Thank you Delta Dave, I just made the ro state a more similar color to the normal state, that seems to have worked for appearance sake.
